NOTE: Attempt to scan between each step.
  1. Alter the scan angle and distance.
  2. Clean the scanner window with an alcohol prep pad
  3. Move to a more dimly lit area.
  4. Scan a bar code you have previously scanned correctly.
  5. Check for bar code voids on the barcode it's self, poorly printed barcodes may not scan.
  6. If still not scanning Soft boot the 6039
    1. Hold down the "Tab"+ "On/Off" buttons for about 20 seconds until the screen flashes and you see Erase Ram, Drive & Registry
    2. Press the Left arrow < to clean boot the device.
    3. Follow the on screen steps for screen alignment
    4. The 6039 will then complete a setup process
  7. If still not scanning replace the printer using the Store Support Website Hardware Replacement Tool
    1. Please open the Store Support Website
    2. Click on the Hardware Replacement Tool Tile
    3. Click on LRT\Reticketers
    4. Select the part to replace and fill out the form
